Dear
Friend,
After his resurrection, and just
before His ascension, Jesus gave us one final command: go into the entire world
and preach the gospel. God wants all mankind to know of His love for them and
His was – the only way – to salvation and eternal life.
This final command should be a priority
of Christians today. Tragically, for many Christians, it is not. The issues
of our earthly life often consume us and take precedence over what God calls
us to put first. While multitudes of people enter eternity without ever having
heard the name of Jesus, believers are caught up in the cares of this life (and
friend, this life is not the one that counts.)
Jesus talked about this in the parable
of the seed (Luke 8:4-15). Of the four seeds in the parable, one in particular
seems to represent many Christians in the West today. This seed fell
among the thorns. The seed germinated and produced a plant, but the plant never
matured and produced fruit. Jesus revealed the meaning of this seed to his disciples
this way: the seed (the word of God) that fell among the thorns represents the
people who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked and suffocated
with the anxieties and cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit
does not ripen – come to maturity and perfection. (Amplified)
God used this parable to speak to my heart, convicting me to rearrange my priorities
and leading me to establish Vision India. With the greatest concentration of
unreached people groups in the world in India, it is a mission field ripe for
harvest.
Even though most of us in the West are not prepared or called to go to a foreign
mission field, that does not mean we are not able to fulfill the Great Commission.
We can be a part of reaching the lost in India by providing prayer and financial
support to indigenous pastors, workers and missionaries.
My prayer is that as you browse through this web site, God will touch your
heart with the great need that exists in India and give you a burden to help.
For those who have never heard,
